SUMMARY:

This course work aims to understand the reality of
socio-education in Maranhão, taking as a reference the
socio-educational measure of semi-freedom developed
in the State. Semi-freedom is one of the socioeducational measures present in the Child and
Adolescent Statute, as a response to adolescents who
committed an infraction. The proposal is for the
teenager to remain in a home, monitored by a
multidisciplinary team, with the possibility of external
activities, without the need for judicial authorization.
Also enabling family life on weekends. The study is
delimited by the semi-freedom measure developed in
Maranhão, through the only two existing houses to
comply with the socio-educational measure in the
State. Understanding the following questions: Discuss
the implementation of the semi-freedom program in the
state of Maranhão; Describe the profile of teenagers;
Analyze the information regarding the profile of
adolescents who comply with a semi-freedom measure,
based on cross-referencing of data obtained and
Compare the profile of the adolescent perpetrator of an

infraction in Maranhão with the profiles of other
adolescent offenders, found in other studies in other
Brazilian states. To achieve its results, the study used
quantitative and qualitative methodologies.
