SUMMARY:

This study seeks to understand how the network for the protection of children's and adolescents' rights has been established based on the structuring and planning of the Municipal Councils. This is a qualitative approach, using semi-structured interviews for data collection; and content analysis, carried out with the Municipal Councils of the Alto Paranaíba region in the State of Minas Gerais. The objective is to examine the regulation and governance of these bodies, observing the capacity for articulated and integrated actions with the other bodies of the protection network for the formulation of local policies for the fulfillment of children's and adolescents' rights and for the strengthening of the Rights Guarantee System.
