This dissertation sought to understand the place occupied by the Child and Adolescent Statute - ECA in the curricula of the Juvenile Detention Unit in Conflict with the Law, located in Recanto das Emas - DF. The general objective of the research is to identify the place occupied by this Statute in the pedagogical routines and curricula of the aforementioned Detention Unit. The research was anchored in a qualitative approach and found its foundation in concepts of Historical-Dialectical Materialism (Marx, 1974), especially in the idea of the philosopher's reading of the world regarding his way of seeing society through the lens of modes of production and, mainly, in the handling/use of his ontological categories (Cury 1989; Silva; Rocha, 2023), aiming at an overcoming synthesis through concrete thought. Regarding the methodological procedures, the state of the art, documentary analysis, production and application of questionnaires, with consequent content analysis of the data collected (Bardin, 1977; 2016) stand out. The locus of the research was, then, the Juvenile Detention Unit in Conflict with the Law, located in Recanto das Emas - DF. The results pointed to Pedagogical Projects, Project Pedagogy, Transversality, ECA, Transversal ECA. a) the curriculum practiced by UNIRE focuses on resocialization, in compliance with articles 4 and 53 of the ECA, although the curriculum for training these professionals encounters numerous obstacles in ensuring that this theme is effectively covered; and b) the professionals involved are concerned with the practice of restorative education, in compliance with the rights prescribed in the ECA, which is, in part, being worked on in the Political-Pedagogical Project used by UNIRE, given that several statements by the research subjects demonstrate concern with compliance with and applicability of the ECA in the pedagogical routines and teaching provided by the institution, although, apparently, there is still a need for further improvement of the aforementioned pedagogical routines and practices.
