Joint attention refers to the ability to jointly direct attention to objects and situations. Deficits in this skill constitute one of the early signs associated with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Alterations in joint attention can impact the development of language, communication, and social cognition. Therefore, understanding how to foster it in educational environments becomes a relevant issue for pedagogical practice with autistic children in early childhood. The main objective of this study is to characterize indicators of joint attention promoted by intentional and co-planned interventions with the teacher during sessions with an autistic child participating in the Early Education Program at a public school in the Federal District. This is an observational, descriptiveexploratory study, based on the Object Pragmatics Theory. Data collection involved written records in a field diary, video recordings of sessions, and semi-structured interviews (initial and final). The triadic interactions (teacher-object-child) were subjected to microgenetic analysis. The results indicate that adjustments and changes in teacher mediation impacted the child's participation, showing greater articulation between the participants' actions, with a consequent increase in engagement and indicators of joint attention throughout the sessions. These findings reinforce the importance of pedagogical strategies intentionally oriented towards promoting joint attention in Early Childhood Education contexts, highlighting the intentionality in the use of objects and in mediation actions.
