Pre-cast concrete, Milton Ramos, Construtora Rabello, Brasilia
Brasilia was an unique opportunity for brazilian civil construction agents. The demands for speeds efficiency, and short deadlines pushed engineers, architects, and entrepreneurs to seek solutions that rationalized building processes. Within this context, the engineer Marco Paulo Rabello invested in the development of pre-cast residential builgins in Brasilia, establishing his own production system. Architect Milton Ramos designed two models for Construtora Rabello, known as R2 and R3. The first became the most reproduced residential type in Plano Piloto, while the second reflected the maturation of the company’s construction techniques. The analysis of these models revels the construction, technical and aesthetic evolution achieved through innovatiom and research by Construtora Rabello and its partners, such as Projectum Engenharia and Milton Ramos. These models embody a important chapter in the industrialization of Brazilian construction promoted by the new capital.
