SUMMARY:

The performance of periodic maintenance on bridges and viaducts helps to identify damages in advance, facilitating the preservation and immediate implementation of preventive measures, enhancing the management process, and reducing costs over their lifespan. However, limited budgets lead to delayed maintenance, ultimately resulting in poor structural pathological situations, making it more expensive for the Public Management System. From this perspective, the aim of this work is to utilize a multi-criteria method through factor weighting to propose the classification relevance according to structural, functional, and durability parameters, as well as structural systems, as required by the ABNT NBR 9452:2019 - Inspection of concrete bridges, viaducts, and walkways – Procedure. Subsequently, the application of the proposed methodology in the inspections conducted on thirteen bridges and viaducts in the Federal District will be analyzed to calibrate and correlate the parameters obtained and suggested in the aforementioned study. Within the management methodology proposed in this study, inspections Nº 020, 027, and 100, located in Taguatinga, Sobradinho, and Candangolândia, respectively, were identified as having the greatest maintenance needs, as corroborated by photographic records and technical evaluation. Thus, this study contributes to the inclusion of governmental efficiency and social improvement in decision-making, assisting in the decision-making process regarding bridges and viaducts.
